At the time of its commissioning, the Hemmingford BESS was the largest energy storage system in the Quebec province.
Our battery energy storage system was designed to:
- Postpone important infrastructure investments needed to support the growth of energy demand at the local substation.
- Be used during daily and seasonal peaks to provide power quality, reactive power and voltage support and improve grid resilience.
