Troy is located in the Sheffield-Highgate Export Interface (“SHEI”), a constrained transmission corridor where renewable energy generation often outpaces demand.
The Troy project’s BESS will absorb excess power at times of curtailment and discharge the clean energy to the New England grid to manage peak demand and reduce power export constraints.
